About
'm
Olive, a multimedia designer, art director, and creative technologist
based in Los Angeles. I work across art direction, animation, visual
identity, music videos, live AV, projection design, and immersive
installations. Whatever the project, I'm thinking about the full visual
language from the jump, concept through final delivery.
My work has been exhibited at LACMA as part of an artist's retrospective, and I'm currently working with production companies on music video, film, and live visual projects. I've also created work for NYU, Villa La Pietra in Florence, Humboldt Forum in Berlin, and Gretna Music in Pennsylvania.
I studied Interactive Media Arts at NYU, where I focused on combining code, design, and sound, which means I can move between the creative and technical sides of a project without losing the thread. Whether I'm developing a visual identity for an artist, art directing a shoot, or building real-time animated systems for a live show, I bring both the design instinct and the technical range to see it through.
Everything I make comes back to the relationship between music and image. I'm obsessed with the moment visuals stop being decoration and start being part of the song, on stage, on screen, or anywhere in between.
Based in LA. Available for travel. Always looking for the next interesting project.

‘Living in Ultraviolet’ (2023)
Motion capture music video made in response to FKA Twigs' "Ultraviolet," created in collaboration with Anika Bajpai and Gabriel Chi. I performed in the mocap suit, built and rigged the avatar, co-designed the Unreal Engine environment, and handled editing and sound design. The piece uses the contrast between fire and cold to explore emotional volatility. Made with MotionBuilder, Unreal Engine, and Premiere Pro.
Film for Gretna Music (2020-present)
Ongoing videography and social media content production for Gretna Music, a nonprofit chamber and classical music presenter in Mt. Gretna, Pennsylvania. I film and edit live concert performances at their outdoor amphitheatre, capturing the intimacy of world-class music in a one-of-a-kind natural setting. Work spans promotional reels, event documentation, and audience-facing content across platforms.
Coded Musical Visualizer (2020)
A browser-based audio visualizer built from scratch using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and P5.js. The visualizer reads live audio FFT data to drive a color-reactive spectrum wheel, with dots mapping beat patterns across time. Three modes — Vibrant, Dull, and Dark — allows users to test how color temperature shifts their emotional read of the same song. An early exploration of how design choices shape the way we hear music.
‘Machine is Music’ (2023)
A multi-method exploration of audiovisualization, comparing what different tools — code, 3D software, and AI, can and can't do when tasked with making music visible. I built a music visualizer in Blender using audio-reactive particle systems, one in JavaScript, and one using AI-assisted generation, then edited them together to see where each approach succeeded and where it fell flat. Made with P5.js, Blender, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
‘WaterLeveL.EXE- Rockband:REWIRED’ (2024)
A live audiovisual performance built around a rewired RockBand guitar connected to Ableton Live and TouchDesigner. I composed the original track, designed five mappable sounds, and built visual systems in TouchDesigner that respond to live audio data in real time — colors, shapes, and beats linked to each instrument. A showcase of what live AV can feel like when the instrument is the interface.
